Restore all four reef lights to open the next level immediately. Travel when you are ready, or stay and explore. The route leads from the Glowing Reef to Pelican Shallows, the Starlit Sanctuary, and the Midnight Trench, then loops into a new migration. Your unlocked levels and jellyfish stay saved in this browser. Every map wraps at its edges.
Explore the deep side: swim away from shore and press E to descend; Q brings you back up. Different creatures live below. The magical reef lights can be collected at either depth. Lagoon sand is always safe: it brings you back up, refills energy and restores hearts. Its golden light is an optional bonus.
On a phone or tablet: tap anywhere in the water to sting immediately. You can tap with a second finger while your thumb steers or another finger holds Boost. Use the thumb control at the lower left to steer; a water tap also swims toward that spot when you are not holding the thumb control. Hold the Sting button to keep attacking as it recharges. Use Dive deeper and Rise to explore both depths. Open Ocean map to choose a destination. Landscape gives you a wider view.
Get close, then sting! Quick consecutive stings build a combo. Points refill your boost. Swimmers use a full stroke cycle. Scuba collectors turn and chase you with nets for their aquariums. A filling capture bar means you are inside a net: sting the diver or boost clear before it fills, or the run ends. In Pelican Shallows, amber rings warn where a pelican will dive. Move out of the ring. Turtles, sharks and pelican dives cost a heart; all threats stay away from the safe shore. Stings briefly slow predators so you can escape. In the trench, move out of the megalodon’s amber charge corridor. Press Shift and Space together to attack while escaping.
With a mouse, click the water to swim there and right-click to sting. With a finger, tap the water to swim and sting together, or steer with your thumb and tap with another finger to sting. Each sting has a short recharge, shown by the purple meter. On the map, choose a destination to swim toward it; you still need to watch for predators! WASD or the arrows take over immediately. Press X to stop. Earn 5 XP per sting, 25 XP per light, exploration XP, and 100 XP for each completed voyage. Voyages also count as wins for unlocking jellies. XP is saved even if you get caught or leave a run. Discover a new creature for 15 XP; open Sea life to learn about it. Gentle giants do not hurt you and do not give sting points. Unlock new jellies with XP or level wins. Laser jellyfish fires where you last swam. Egg and giant jellies have an extra heart. Cozy gives you 5 hearts and slower chases. Wild gives you 3 hearts and quicker predators. These habitats bring together animals from different parts of the world in a make-believe ocean. Megalodon is extinct in real life; our living guardian is fictional.
